On Friday, West Ham United announced that attacking midfielder Sead Hakšabanović has made his loan move to Swedish outfit IFK Norrköping permanent.
The Montenegro international was brought in from Halmstads BK for a meagre €3m back in 2017 but was unable to impress, making just two first-team appearances for the Hammers.
Though he was reportedly being courted by several clubs around the globe, Hakšabanović will continue at Norrköping despite having two years remaining on his West Ham deal.
The player, who just turned 21, enjoyed a stellar second half of the 2019 Allsvenskan season, registering six goals and six assists in his final 12 games.
“This is where I feel comfortable and this is where I want to be. It’s nice that this day has finally arrived,” Hakšabanović told Norrköping’s official site.
The official terms of the deal were undisclosed. Hakšabanović also spent the first half of the 2018-19 season at Málaga but only managed to make a pair of LaLiga 2 appearances.
