West Ham announce £29.8m Kurt Zouma transfer | OneFootball

West Ham have completed the signing of Kurt Zouma after a draw out set of negotiations.

The defender was left out of the squad for today’s draw with Liverpool to complete a move which has been expected for some days now.

His new club struggled defensively against Crystal Palace in their match earlier in the day, and it was clear to see why they want Kurt in their team before the window closes.

The Hammers announced his arrival with a Tweet welcoming the France international to the club.

Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph reported the price at £29.8m.

He will be greatly missed, both as a defender and as a dressing room presence. He’s long been a fan favourite at the Bridge, and this move won’t change that.

It likely signals the arrival of Jules Kounde from Sevilla as a replacement, with that deal seemingly having been left on hold until this one was finalised.
