Having struggled to make an impact in his first season in Paris, Hugo Ekitike has been looking to stake his claim for a bigger role next season, now that his move from Reims has been made permanent.
However, his meagre pre-season playing time would indicate that he is not in PSG’s plans – according to RMC Sport this afternoon, the club would like to sell Ekitike. Last season, the 21-year-old forward scored four goals and assisted another four in all competitions.
Luis Enrique a fan of the player, though, not least given that PSG have yet to sign a centre-forward this summer. In any case, several clubs around Europe are interested in potentially bringing Ekitike in – namely Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest.
Another option would be to include the forward in the prospective deal to bring in Randal Kolo Muani, with PSG having renewed their efforts to sign the French international this week.
