West Ham winger Said Benrahma is probably not too thrilled with not starting every week at the east London club, says Paul Brown of the Daily Star.

As a result, Brown thinks the 27-year-old could be tempted by the prospect of being a regular starter somewhere else. At the same time, however, the journalist does not believe he is completely dissatisfied with life at the London Stadium.

What is the latest news involving Benrahma?

According to The Guardian, West Ham are willing to listen to offers for Benrahma this summer.

The above could see Nottingham Forest make a bid for the £58,000-a-week player, with the same outlet claiming that the newly-promoted Premier League side have shown an interest in him.

Benrahma had to settle for the bench in West Ham’s opening game of the season against Manchester City, but he did later come on as a substitute as the Hammers went on to lose 2-0.

Last term, he made 26 league starts in total, 12 more than he managed the campaign prior.

What has Brown said about Benrahma?

Brown thinks Benrahma, naturally, wants more starts but is still content to be at the London Stadium.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about the Algeria international, the Daily Star journalist said: “He probably isn’t too thrilled that he isn’t starting every week and might be tempted by the prospect of going somewhere where he could, but I think both sides are reasonably happy with where he is at the moment.”

Will Benrahma get game time at the London Stadium this season?

While he may not be an automatic starter under David Moyes, you would expect Benrahma to get plenty of opportunities at West Ham this term.

The Hammers are in Europe again, while there is a World Cup taking place in the middle of this season, so Moyes is going to have to rotate his squad.

Benrahma made 12 appearances in the Hammers’ 2021/22 Europa League campaign, so it would not be a surprise to now see him get a lot of game time in the Europa Conference League alone.

Ultimately, you would not say that Benrahma is a fringe player at the London Stadium. There is certainly no reason for him to push for a move this summer.

It seems, though, that West Ham would not be against the idea of the former Brentford man leaving during this transfer window, so this could be one to keep an eye on.
