West Brom boss Steve Bruce‘s job at the Hawthorns is not safe right now, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 57-year-old has been under constant pressure since he arrived at the Hawthorns in February and Jones reckons his position is not completely secure.

And Jones doesn’t think Bruce’s position in the dugout is safe following the Baggies’ poor recent run of results.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t actually think his job is totally safe. I think we’re going to have to see how he now restarts the season.

“I’m not sure it helps that Watford have made a change because Watford are 11 places higher than Steve Bruce’s and they already feel the need to change.”

With the pressure mounting on Bruce, he needs to deliver something in the coming weeks.

Fortinately, five of their next six games are against sides ninth or lower, the exception being Reading, which should give them a chance to get up and running.

The Baggies return to action with a home game against Swansea on Saturday before travelling to Preston four days later.

It’s back to the comforts of their own home when Luton visit the Midlands, with games against Reading, Bristol City, Millwall and Sheffield United rounding off October.

West Brom’s final three fixtures before the World Cup are Blackpool, QPR and Stoke, which represent more winnable games on paper.
