West Brom attacker Matheus Pereira is considering an offer from Al Hilal after they came with a bid for the Brazilian, according to ESPN reporter Joao Castelo-Branco.

It has already been reported that both Leeds United and West Ham are interested in making a potential move for Pereira this summer, with reports from ESPN Brazil revealing that the playmaker would be interested in a switch to Elland Road.

According to the latest update from ESPN reporter Joao Castelo-Branco, the Baggies would be wanting to receive a fee of around £30 million this summer if they were to sell him to a Premier League side.

While it is also believed that the Brazilian would ideally be wanting to remain in the top-flight of English football next season following his fine form last term.

However, it is thought that Pereira considers the financial offer made to him from Al-Hilal to be a tempting one and it is one that he is considering.

The report adds that the offer made from Al-Hilal to West Brom for Pereira is around €15 million  (£12.8 million). It is also believed that the Baggies might accept that bid should their price tag for the playmaker not be met by a Premier League club near the end of the window.

The verdict

This report suggests that there is a chance that Pereira will not be making a move back to the Premier League as would have been expected at the start of the summer window.

Al-Hilal have clearly made him an offer that it is going to be hard for him to turn down and one that a top-flight side in England might not be willing to match.

Losing Pereira seems like an inevitability for West Brom unfortunately for them at this stage in the transfer window. However, the Baggies would likely be able to double the transfer fee they could get from Al-Hilal if a Premier League side wins the race for his signature. They will therefore not be rushing into accepting any offer on the table as of yet.

It will be intriguing to see whether the likes of Leeds United and West Ham feel they should now come in with a strong offer for the attacker in the wake of this new bid from Al-Hilal.

Both sides are going to have to act fast to secure his services now and surely he is a player that is worth making an offer for because he could add a lot of quality to both respective sides you would feel.
