This move may prove to be too little too late for West Brom who have left themselves open to this kind of conclusion to the window.

It would be a disappointment for Bruce not to add another forward to his squad given their limited options. They have already signed Brandon Thomas-Asante but it remains to be seen whether he can contribute at this level.

Dike’s injury concerns have only emphasised the club’s need for another source of goals, with the American out of action throughout his time at West Brom so far.

The sale of Robinson is expected to go through by this evening, which will leave the team a man short without any kind of replacement looking likely as of now.
