Joseph Nonge is thought to be on the Baggies' radar, as Carlos Corberan looks to strengthen his squad following key departures.
West Bromwich Albion have launched an offer for Juventus midfielder Joseph Nonge.
That's according to Sacha Tavolieri, who has revealed on X that the Baggies have submitted a loan bid for the player, without having an option to buy him at the end of this potential temporary agreement.
Albion have endured an interesting summer transfer window so far, with some decent players arriving in the Midlands.
Ousmane Diakite, Torbjorn Heggem, ex-Derby County keeper Joe Wildsmith, former Barnsley striker Devante Cole and Gianluca Frabotta have all joined permanently, with some of these players set to experience their first spell in England.
In terms of loan additions, the experienced Paddy McNair and promising Lewis Dobbin have come in, and all of these signings should help to strengthen Carlos Corberan's side.
They have lost some key players in recent months though, with Milkey Johnston's loan spell coming to an end and Okay Yokuslu, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Connor Townsend all departing on permanent deals.
These sales should give Albion the opportunity to spend more in the transfer market before the summer window closes.
They have a decent amount of depth in some areas, with their goalkeeping department all sorted and the club also arguably having a sufficient number of options at centre-back and in the wing department.
Daryl Dike's progress in his recovery and whether Corberan trusts the United States international to remain fit when he returns to action may decide whether another forward is pursued.
More depth in the full-back and central midfield areas may also be required - and it looks as though Albion are trying to address the latter position.
The Baggies have reportedly submitted a loan bid with no option to buy.
Reporter Tavolieri also claims that personal terms won't be an issue if the Italian club and Albion can strike an agreement, which is a boost for the English side in their quest to recruit him.
The player and Corberan have already - and the former is thought to be keen on a potential move to The Hawthorns.
Nonge has already featured for the Italian giant's first team, but spent the majority of last season with the club's reserve side.
With the player already making four appearances for Juventus' senior team, 19-year-old Nonge is clearly a promising player.
He may not have a huge amount of top-tier experience under his belt, but he has played in plenty of senior games and that should help him to adapt to life at The Hawthorns if he ends up making this move.
Even with McNair able to play in central midfield, this is an area that could benefit from more depth, especially with an important figure like Yokuslu leaving the Midlands in recent weeks.
Signing Nonge may be a bit of a gamble considering he's still young.
But with the experience he has under his belt already, he could be a real asset.
