West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was left frustrated after their 1-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Bruno Fernandes' twice-taken second-half penalty was enough to give United their first Premier League victory of the season at Old Trafford over a battling West Brom outfit.
Johnstone said: "I was [at Manchester United] since I was 10 years old and it was time to leave. I'm a West Brom player now and it was nice to play here. I wish it was a full house but it is what it is. I thought we should have come away with at least a point.
"I knew I was always going to be busy, that's what I'm there for. We're gutted we didn't take a point."
On the penalty being re-taken, he added: "Growing up you're taught to dive forward so it's so difficult to just dive on your line. We were punished, I've not seen how far I was off my line but it's very disappointing.
"The lads are gutted in there. We fought to the end. If we keep fighting like that hopefully the results start swinging our way."
