Florin Manea, a top Romanian agent, has expressed that he would like to take Gaziantep striker Denis Dragus to the Premier League this summer.
Dragus, currently on loan from Standard Liege, has had a great season thus far in the Turkish league scoring 11 goals in 23 league appearances. Rightfully, he is beginning to attract attention from clubs around Europe.
His agent, in conversation with Fanatik in Romania and reported by Antena AS, discussed his future plans after a hectic few months. His pivotal role in Radu Dragusin’s transfer to Tottenham during the January window has left him not only delighted but also continuously discussing the move.
Dragusin now at Tottenham, he joins Ionuț Andrei as one of two Romanian players currently competing in the Premier League, with Andrei playing for Bournemouth.
The list of Romanian players who have graced England’s premier football league isn’t extensive, but it includes notable names such as Adrian Mutu, Dan Petrescu, and Costel Pantilimon.
Manea stated: “Drăguş plays well. I would like to, I always talk to him, I want to collaborate with him. I want to help him.
“To take him to a place like the world. I would like to bring him here to England. He has Premier League value, but we are not talking about the top five.
“We are talking about West Ham, Crystal Palace. I think so and we have already had a few discussions. He was also close to Stoke City before going to Gaziantep. The way he prepares now and how he plays; he has a chance.”
The stars could be aligning for a move to the Premier League. The teams Manea mentions (Palace and West Ham) both lack in quality depth in the attacking department, of course Dragus could help inmprove the clubs in that aspect.
