‘We’re Talking About Liverpool’ – RB Leipzig Star Makes Reds Admission | OneFootball

RB Leipzig star Willi Orban is of the view that Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world and believes that his side gave the Reds a good fight on Wednesday.

Liverpool faced German outfit RB Leipzig away from home on Wednesday in the Champions League league stage fixture and managed to triumph 1-0 over them.

A 27th-minute strike from Darwin Nunez helped Liverpool register their third straight win in the Champions League league stage and they are now sitting second in the lengthy table.

Orban thinks that Leipzig failed to defend properly during Liverpool’s goal in the first half but believes that they gave the Merseyside outfit good competition despite the result not going in their favour.

He pointed out that Leipzig failed to utilise decisive moments in the game against a top opponent like Liverpool and stated that the Reds are one of the best teams in the world.

“We gave them a good game, but it just wasn’t enough”, Orban told RB Leipzig’s official site.

“At the end of the day, we’re talking about Liverpool, one of the best teams in the world.

“We didn’t defend their goal well, and perhaps we were missing precision in the final third when we had the ball. We need to do better.

“We’re just not having decisive moments go our way in the Champions League against top opponents.”

Liverpool have another tough fixture ahead as they will travel to north London at the weekend to take on Arsenal.
