'We're Real Madrid and we don't fear anything,' says Nacho

Nacho Fernández has come out swinging, insisting that Real Madrid “don’t fear anything” with just over three weeks until their Champions League last 16 clash.

The reigning European champions take on Paris Saint-Germain on February 14, and despite their recent poor run of form, the young defender has backed his Los Blancos team-mates to come out on top against Neymar and co.

“I’m sure that PSG probably don’t want to play against us,” he told Marca.

“We’re Real Madrid and we don’t fear anything.”

Having been knocked out of the Copa del Rey, and currently languishing 19 points behind league leaders Barcelona, it seems as if success in Europe is Real Madrid’s only realistic chance of silverware.

“We have a very important challenge ahead of us,” he admitted. “We’re perfectly capable of winning the Champions League.”
