Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller, Nacho and Hugo Larsson react to the goalless draw with Freiburg.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “Credit to the lads, we worked incredibly hard and put in a lot of effort. You could tell both teams had played in midweek. It’s a shame we couldn’t reward ourselves and put the ball in the net. We have to learn to carve out simple chances in games like this, rather than trying to walk the ball in every time. We need to send more balls into the box and more crosses, which is something we discussed during the international break. We need to focus on that to become more dangerous in front of goal.”

Ignacio Ferri Julià: “I’ve been waiting for this moment. When I came on, all I wanted to do was give my all to help the team get the win. It didn’t work out that way, unfortunately – we only got a point. We actually deserved to win the game because we played well and were better than Freiburg. It’s a shame for the fans that we couldn’t give them the win. I can only say thank you for the minutes I was given on the pitch. The coach told me I should give my all on the pitch to help the team.”

Hugo Larsson: “After a good campaign last year with Malmö, moving to Frankfurt just felt right. Eintracht’s style of play suits me – we want to keep possession while also playing direct. I try to play my own game, and that’s going really well at the moment. We’re doing a lot of things well in attack, up until the final third. We still need to learn to pick the right options in front of goal. The lads and coach have been really good with me from the start. It was easy to settle in.”
