According to Bild, if Werder Bremen striker Rafael Santos Borré continues to impress the club will look to make his loan move from Eintracht Frankfurt permanent.

Borré’s current one-year loan deal does not include an option to buy at the end of it but after three goals in eight games for Bremen, the club will look to enter negotiations with Frankfurt at the end of the season if he continues to convince at the club.

The 28-year-old’s current contract at Frankfurt expires in 2025 and in the summer Borré was valued at €7m before he was loaned out, this means that the fee will likely be even lower however, the Colombian could still be too expensive for Bremen hence why they want to enter negotiations.

Borré has already made it clear his opinion on staying at Bremen: “I would like to stay and continue my career here. I want the club’s history to be linked to my name, people talk about me and remember me and my name.”

The Colombian is likely to end his 2 year stay at Frankfurt in the summer but his time will be fondly remembered for the key role he played in Frankfurt’s Europa League win in 2022 where he not only scored the equaliser against Rangers but also the winning penalty.
