Marcel Sabitzer scored on his debut as Borussia Dortmund hit six past TSV Schott Mainz and progressed into the second round of the DFB-Pokal.
Scorers: Gans 34ā²; Haller 22ā², 35ā², Brandt 24ā², Sabitzer 57ā², Malen 79ā², Moukoko 85ā².
SĆ©bastien Haller broke the deadlock to bag Dortmundās first goal of the season, heading home from Julian Brandtās cross before Brandt got on the scoresheet himself, getting on to the end of Donyell Malenās low ball to the back post.
The hosts gave themselves hope of getting back into the game when Nils Gans pulled one back but Haller scrambled home to restore the two-goal advantage a minute later.

Marvin Ducksch had given Werder the lead just before half-time but David Philipp levelled late into the second period.
Niklas FĆ¼llkrugās penalty looked to put the game back into the path of the Bundesliga side but Philipp levelled with his second minute later.
Before Donny BogiÄeviÄ scored with one of the final kicks of the game to win the game for Viktoria Kƶln and cause the first shock of the DFB-Pokal.
