Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told Ronald Koeman he needs to stop playing Antoine Griezmann out of position.

Griezmann's battling form at Barcelona under Koeman is in contrast to how he has played for Didier Deschamps' France.

And Wenger says, "Not playing in his position is difficult in the long term. At first, the boy accepts it, but if it does not meet his long-term needs and he has the impression that the position he occupies does not allow him to express his best qualities, he will be discouraged.

"He is a player who must play in the centre because he has great mobility, precision in his actions, he can be dangerous in the last pass, he scores goals ... But there is congestion in that area because it is the area through which Leo Messi moves."
