Arsene Wenger has revealed he as turned down opportunities to return to management in the Premier League, given his allegiance to former club Arsenal.

Wenger is yet to return to management since his departure from Arsenal in 2018, having spent more than two decades in charge of the North London club, winning three league titles and seven FA Cups.

The Frenchman has revealed that he has had several offers to return to the dugout, including propositions from the Premier League, but says his strong links to his former club means that if he were to return it would be outside of England.

“I’m an Arsenal man and after that I’m a professional. I can’t stop working,” said Wenger.

“I decided to move out of the Premier League because I am too linked with Arsenal. I had opportunities to work in England but I turned them down.

“I don’t want to tell you [which clubs] because there are people in charge and it would unfair to them.”
