Wendie Renard has ended speculation that she could leave Lyon by signing a new contract to 2026.

The French defender joined the club in 2006, meaning the new deal will take her to an astonishing 20 years in the club’s first team.

Renard, 31, has won 31 trophies during her time in the first team, scoring 137 goals in 420 appearances.

As well as 14 league titles, Renard has been integral in Lyon winning seven Champions Leagues.
