Markus Krösche, Oliver Glasner and Sebastian Rode had mixed emotions about the 1-1 draw in Augsburg, but were full of praise for debutant Diant Ramaj.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “We put in a good performance and, particularly in the second half, created some gilt-edged goalscoring chances that we were unable to put away. Diant Ramaj had a great debut and did very well. He cleared a lot of crosses, was very brave and made a superb save just before the end when he came out on top in a one-on-one situation. I’m pleased for the lad.”

Head coach Oliver Glasner: “On the one hand, I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t win because we could have done so quite easily. On the other, Diant Ramaj pulled off a big save in stoppage time. We’ll accept the point after a difficult week. Overall, I’m satisfied with both the result and performance. What makes me really happy is Diant’s performance; he did brilliantly on crosses and played very well.”

Sebastian Rode: “I’m a bit conflicted. On the one hand, we’d have liked to win the game, but on the other, Augsburg were tough opponents and were dangerous towards the end. We did better in the second half and had a great chance to take the lead through Jesper, so we’ll have to accept the point.”
