Flamengo have named an understrength 23-man squad for Monday’s clash with Santos at the Maracanã.
The Rubro-Negro have little play for, with Atlético Mineiro already crowned champions and no other side capable of dislodging the Rio de Janeiro giants from second spot.
There are a number of players ruled out through injury, and interim manager Maurício Souza has no reason to take any chances given the low stakes nature of the fixture.
Left-back Filipe Luís will not play again until next season after picking up a calf injury.
Willian Arão (knee), Michael (thigh), Diego Alves (thigh) and Rodrigo Caio (surgery) are also out, with Bruno Henrique, Diego Ribas and Thiago Maia completing the list of absentees for the Mengão.
It will be interesting to see if Souza goes with the strongest side at his disposal, or opts to give fringe players some game in a relatively meaningless encounter for the hosts.
Flamengo will finish their Brasileirão campaign with a trip to Atlético Goianiense on Thursday.
