The Brazil fans have been on the backs of their team so far during the Copa América. They haven’t been good enough and they haven’t been fun enough.
Well, that all changed on Saturday.
A 5-0 win against Peru saw Brazil ease through the group stage and Roberto Firmino was certainly having fun.
With the game at 1-0, Firmino blocked a long pass from goalkeeper Pedro Gallese and – after the ball had come back off the post – score the second of the game.
And what a way to do it. After rounding Gallese, Firmino delivered one of his trademark ‘no-look’ finishes.
Aren’t those pictures something?
And he’s been at it before, too.
On top of efforts against Werder Bremen, Chile and Sevilla, we have a few more pictures of Firmino pulling off the audacious trick.
