Brahim Diaz is one of the few Real Madrid players not on international duty at the moment. Having decided to represent the Moroccan flag earlier this year, the winger is enjoying a hiatus before the start of the new campaign.

With players likely to return relatively fatigued and without much rest, Diaz is expected to be crucial for both Real Madrid’s pre-season and the beginning of the new campaign.

He will, however, not find it as simple to receive minutes as last season given the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.

Speaking at a recent event, Real Madrid superstar Brahim Diaz spoke on his feelings at the club, the season ahead and how he was looking forward to returning to action.

The Spanish-Moroccan star, who is being courted by Saudi Arabia, began his interview by revealing how playing for Los Blancos required one to be on their toes at all times, saying,

“The level of Real Madrid you know what it is, which requires you to give the most of yourself every day.”

Commenting on the season up ahead and his expectations from the campaign, he said,

“Next season will be better than the last.”

Finally, Diaz spoke on how he looked forward to linking up with the new players arriving who will only elevate the level of the Champions League-winning squad.

“I am very happy at Real Madrid and that there are good players coming. This is Real Madrid, we must have the best players in the world,” he proclaimed.

Last season, Diaz participated in 31 La Liga games for the Merengues and recorded eight goals and six assists in the process.

The versatile winger is expected to return to training later this month for Carlo Ancelotti’s pre-season but will miss a part of the campaign for the AFCON.
