Kylian Mbappe sends a message to Manchester United following Champions League loss
The French wonderkid has been outshone by Marcus Rashford for the second time in two years in the Champions League. A late Rashford winner ensured United opened their European account with a win this season.
“It’s not the first time that we’ve lost the first match of the group stage. We know how to react.”
Mbappe is keen to get back and has sent out a warning. He is confident that the French champions know how to react to the reversal.
PSG take on Istanbul Basaksehir while United face RB Leipzig. A win for us over the German will strengthen our hold on the group.
Having been drawn in the group of death, every point will matter at the end of matchday six. Securing six points from the first two games will leave us in a strong position before the clash against Istanbul.
With us set to welcome PSG back to Old Trafford on matchday five, Mbappe will be keen to get back at us.
The French giants defeated us 2-0 at home last season. Thankfully, we were able to turn it around in the reverse leg. Hopefully, we can do better this time around and ensure Mbappe’s frustration against us continue.
The 21-year-old might be one of the best young players in world football. However, his record against United is largely forgettable result wise.
Rashford will get the chance to make it a hat-trick of wins against Mbappe when we face off in December.
