“We have to believe” – Mauricio Pochettino issues rally cry ahead of Man City | OneFootball

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has issued a rally cry to his Blues troops ahead of this afternoon’s match against champions Manchester City.

Games do not come any tougher than this one for Chelsea and if they are to stand any chance of getting something from this game, then they are all going to need to play with 100% effort and intensity, and all be at the top of their game from start to finish. Pochettino is also going to need to be at the top of his coaching game. They are going to need every single person in the entire squad, and they’re going to need to Chelsea fans.

But Pochettino says him and his payers simply must believe they can beat City today and use that spirit to get them through.

Speaking ahead of the game in words cited by The Daily Mirror, Pochettino says: “It’s going to be tough to beat Manchester City. But we have to believe. Football is about belief and trying to develop and to create different strategies to get above them.”

When asked if winning the title will even be possible while Pep Guardiola remains at City, Poch said: “Yes, of course. We are all trying to be close to their level. That is the challenge.

“It’s going to be tough, of course, if he continues there, because he now has the experience, the capacity and the knowledge and the squad, and he’s a great coach.”

Chelsea are capable of beating any team on their day and they can certainly cause City some real problems today. I’m certainly not full of confidence personally, but anything can happen in this beautiful game!
