The question we were asking NUFC fans on Wednesday – How many more Premier League points do you think Eddie Howe’s side will pick up before Christmas.
Eleven Premier League matches played so far.
Now we are set to come out of this latest (November) international break.
It is the Hammers at St James’ Park on Monday night.
That is the first of six more Premier League matches that Newcastle United have before Christmas (as well as the Brentford cup match).
So we were asking, how many more points do NUFC fans think we will pick up from these half dozen games?
Monday 25 November – Newcastle v West Ham (8pm) Sky Sports
Saturday 30 November – Crystal Palace v Newcastle (3pm)
Wednesday 4 December – Newcastle v Liverpool (7.30pm) Amazon
Saturday 7 December – Brentford v Newcastle (3pm)
Saturday 14 December – Newcastle v Leicester (3pm)
(Wednesday 18 December – Newcastle v Brentford (7.45pm) Sky Sports+ (Carabao Cup))
Saturday 21 December – Ipswich v Newcastle (3pm)
This is how the Premier League table currently looks on Thursday (21 November 2024) morning:
So how many more points from a maximum 18, can Newcastle United add from these six Premier League matches?
Which if it came true, would give Eddie Howe’s side 31 points from 17 matches by Christmas at an average of 1.82 points per game, which if continued over a season equals 69 points from a 38 match season.
In 2022/23, Newcastle United finished fourth on 71 points, four ahead of Liverpool on 67.
Last season (2023/24), Villa finished fourth on 68 points and Spurs fifth on 66, Newcastle United just eight points below that Villa total despite the Tonali situation and worst season for injuries in the club’s entire history.
These are the collective results of the Newcastle United fans who voted (rounded up or down to the nearest whole number) for each points total:
0 points – 0%
1 point – 0%
2 points – 0%
3 points – 0%
