Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is adamant the Gunners have what it takes to wipe out a one-goal deficit and eventually knock PSG out of the Champions League semi-finals. The Spaniard faced the press this Tuesday at Parc des Princes. “We are a win away from being in the Champions League final, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world against a great opponent – it doesn’t get much better than that. We are here to make history, and we have a big opportunity tomorrow”, said the former PSG midfielder.

Arsenal are a goal down after PSG won the first leg at the Emirates Stadium last week. France international striker Ousmane Dembélé scored the game’s only goal of the night. PSG were indebted to another flawless performance from Gianluigi Donnarumma to escape London unscathed. Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal have a genuine chance should they reiterate their performance of the first leg. “We know what we can do. We showed it in the first leg as well, in many moments, apart from the first 15 minutes when we had some difficulties.”

Arteta is adamant his Arsenal players belong to this level of the competition and called on them to embrace the game that will surely define their season. “To win the final of the Champions League, you have to do something exceptional throughout the tournament. We’ve done a lot of great things, but tomorrow in Paris, against this team, is the moment to do it.”
