Usually these awards would be Premier League themed, but we were treated to some World Cup qualifiers this weekend.

And what a weekend it was! Here are our weekly awards …

The Specsavers Award

Cristiano Ronaldo should have secured victory for Portugal against Serbia in injury time.

But this was somehow not given by the officials with goal-line technology not being used. We’re absolutely baffled.

The Instant Impact Award

Many fans didn’t know what to make of Zlatan Ibrahimović returning to Sweden duty.

But two assists in two games prove that the 39-year-old still had plenty to offer this side.

The Leaving It Late Award

Since Luis Enrique took charge (1o games) – Spain have made a habit of scoring late goals.

In fact, their injury time winner against Georgia was their fourth under the 50-year-old; talk about a flair for the dramatic.

The Unstoppable Award

Romelu Lukaku is on fire for Inter as they look set to win the Scudetto; but his Belgium form also deserves credit.

He has scored 36 goals in his last 31 appearances, scoring in all ten of his EURO/World Cup qualifying matches across this run.

The Back To Their Roots Award

Italy have struggled with an identity crisis of late but Roberto Mancini has quashed those fears.

The Azzurri have now kept six clean sheets in a row away from home – their longest run in history.

The One Man Show Award

We don’t need to explain much more.

Harry Kane has been directly involved in 45 goals in 47 appearances for club and country this season. Ridiculous.

The ‘At Last’ Award

It’s been a long time coming, but Luxembourg have finally won away from home for the first time since 2008.

Their dramatic late victory over Ireland was only their fourth away win – in their entire history! What a moment.

The New Kid On The Block Award

Mikkel Damsgaard is building quite the reputation for himself.

Handed his second Denmark start after impressing for Sampdoria, he scored and assisted twice in their 8-0 rout of Moldova.
