Watford striker Mileta Rajovic will not be leaving Vicarage Road in the January transfer window, amid links with Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town.

That's according to the player's agent, Mikkel Beck, who inists that his client is fully commited to Valerien Ismael's side.

Rajovic attracting interest early in his Watford career

It is not long since Rajovic joined Watford, with the striker only signing from Swedish side Kalmar in the summer transfer window for a fee reported to be worth around £1million.

Since then, the Dane has somewhat struggled to settle into Valerien Ismael's side at times, although he has still scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the club this season.

As a result, the 24-year-old has been linked with a move elsewhere in the Championship, with both Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town identified as potential destinations for the striker.

However, it seems as though Rajovic will not be leaving Vicarage Road anytime soon, judging by these latest comments.

"No interest" in Rajovic from elsewhere in England

Given the significance of such a move so soon after he joined Watford, it is perhaps not surprising that these links with Rajovic appear to be attracting some considerable interest.

However, it now seems as though it may not be the case that Blackburn and Ipswich are even keen on the striker, who himself seemingly has no desire to move.

When asked about those rumours of a move elsewhere in the Championship for Rajovic, the striker's agent, Mikkel Beck, told Swedish outlet FotbollDirekt: “So there is no interest from any other English clubs, it’s nothing I know about.

"We have just recently signed for Watford. We are not thinking about anything else and Mileta is really happy to be here in every way. He is fully committed and only thinks about Watford.”

Rajovic signed a five-year contract when he moved to Watford in the summer, securing his future at Vicarage Road until the end of the 2027/28 season.

As a result, the Hornets are in a strong position to negotiate any offers that come in for the striker in the near future.

Mixed fortunes for Ipswich, Watford and Blackburn

It has been an excellent campaign for Ipswich following promotion last season, and they can move back into the Championship's automatic promotion places with a win over league leaders Leicester City on Monday night.

Rajovic's goals meanwhile, have helped Watford to ninth place in the Championship table, and they are just three points adrift of the play-off places.

By contrast, Blackburn have won just one of their last ten league games, a run that has seen them slip to 17th in the table, nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Not surprising that Rajovic is unlikely to leave Watford

Right now, it does not feel like a huge shock that Rajovic looks set to stay at Watford beyond this month.

The striker is still at the very early stages of his career with the Hornets, and made a big commitment by signing such a long-term contract with them back in the summer.

As a result, it would make little sense for him to walk away from that so soon, especially when the goals he is getting show there are signs of promise for him at Vicarage Road.

With that in mind, it feels like remaining at Watford and building on the foundations he is laying with the club, could be the best move for Rajovic right now.
