A thrilling conclusion to the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier title race saw Watford finish goal-difference ahead of Ipswich Town.

Ipswich defeated morning leaders Oxford United, as Watford took top spot with a 3-0 victory Billericay Town.

Watford now face Nottingham Forest in the play-off for promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship, on Saturday 20 May at Stadium MK.

Durham Cestrian netted eight at Chorley but Newcastle United finished four goals ahead of them in Division One North, having won 2-0 at Barnsley.

Cardiff City Ladies played their re-arranged Division One South West fixture at Moneyfields, winning 2-0 to pip Exeter City to the title.

Peterborough United won at runners-up Doncaster Rovers Belles to take fourth place in Division One Midlands, Evie Driscoll-King getting a late decider.
