Moroccan international Othmane Maamma is expected to sign with Watford in England in the coming hours.

Last season, Watford finished in fourteenth place in the Championship. Next season, the English club is aiming to step up their efforts and secure a swift return to the Premier League.

With this goal in mind, the club is actively scouting, and Skysports reports that they have set their sights on a young Montpellier player. The player in question is Moroccan winger Othmane Maamma. At just 19 years old and under contract until 2027, Maamma has completed his second Ligue 1 season, tallying 1 goal and 1 assist in 12 matches.

According to L’Équipe, the deal is well on track, with an agreement reportedly in place between the two clubs. The player is expected to sign a contract running until 2029.
