Langley's Lasses take on the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division leaders at 1pm GMT in the fourth round of the Women's FA Cup on Sunday - before Howe's men kick off at 3pm GMT in the FA Cup third round.

Newcastle United Women best North East neighbours Middlesbrough in the third round in December and, following a winter break, are looking to push on in both league and cup.

Last season, the Magpies pipped Forest to promotion to the Women's Championship and the two fixtures between the sides were suitably tight affairs, with Kacie Elson scoring the only goal of the game for United at the City Ground but Forest turning the tables with a 2-1 win at Kingston Park.

And, with former Newcastle players Bridget Galloway and Naomi Bedeau among their ranks, they are once again pushing for promotion this term - while United are still in with a shout of making it three title wins in a row in the league above. That all goes out of the window in the Women's FA Cup, though, with extra time and penalties if required on the day to decide who progresses to the fifth round.

Tickets for Sunday's 1pm (GMT) kick-off are on sale here, but supporters who can't make the game will be able to watch live and exclusive on the Official Newcastle United App.

Northern Ireland ace Rachel Furness, who is now nearing a return from injury, will be part of the commentary team for the game, alongside Peter Smith.

Amy Andrews finished 2024 in fine form and will be looking to carry that into the new year, while Demi Stokes has three Women's FA Cup winners' medals to her name so knows what it takes to progress in this competition. Hannah Greenwood got both goals against Boro in the last round.
