Despite taking a very early lead through Rodrygo, Real Madrid were outplayed and second half goals from Fashion Sakala and Cedric Itten saw the home side take the victory.

Andriy Lunin was impressive for the visitors between the posts, while captain Marcelo was played in a more advanced role on the day by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
