A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was on Friday afforded a special moment by the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Frenkie de Jong.

Midfielder De Jong is for his part in the midst of an altogether busy week.

After kicking into gear preparations for Barcelona’s upcoming clash with Levante, the Dutchman was then forced to sit out training on Wednesday.

As much came to tend to his wife in hospital, after she went into labour ahead of the birth of the couple’s 2nd child.

Mikky Kiemeney has since given birth, marking a joyous 48 hours for De Jong and his family.

Upon returning to training at the Ciutat Esportiva on Friday, the former Ajax man was therefore congratulated by his teammates, by way of a trademark ritual.
