Barcelona and Atlético Madrid play out a 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon, which all but kills Barcelona’s title hopes, and also hinders Atleti’s chances, who now do not rely on themselves, with Real Madrid the big winners from today’s stalemate. Barcelona were no way near good enough in the first half, with Atlético having the far clearer chances, as ter Stegen was forced into a number of good saves. The second half display was far better from Ronald Koeman’s team, especially with the introduction of Ronald Araújo, although Barça were never able to gain full control, or establish a clear rhythm in this clash, as it ended in a disappointing goalless draw.

The draw now leaves plenty of question marks surrounding this Barcelona team, as our dreamy hopes of winning La Liga seem to have finally evaporated. Ronald Koeman will continue to be asked questions of, after quite a flat Barça display, as we must now hope that both Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid lose a game in their remaining fixtures.
