Spanish international Aymeric Laporte has this evening seen his latest exploits for Al-Nassr grab worldwide attention online.
This comes after the former Manchester City man was responsible for a genuine Puskas award contender.
Saudi giants Al-Nassr marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming MLS outfit Inter Miami to Riyadh for a friendly clash.
Much of the game’s allure was lost in the buildup to proceedings getting underway, upon word surfacing that Cristiano Ronaldo would play no part, and Lionel Messi would be on the bench.
But the evening’s hosts, nevertheless, did their best to put on a show.
A fine display ultimately saw Al-Nassr prove far too much for an Inter side still in pre-season, as goals on the part of Otávio, Talisca (3), Mohammed Maran and Aymeric Laporte gave rise to an eventual 6-0 result.
As alluded to above, though, whilst Talisca secured the match ball on the night, it was stopper Laporte who truly stole the show.
This came inside the opening quarter of an hour at the Kingdom Arena, when Al-Nassr were awarded a free-kick, deep inside their own half.
After spotting opposing goalkeeper Drake Callender off his line, Laporte, in turn, threw caution to the wind, to unleash a speculative shot at goal.
Incredibly, though, the 29-year-old had measured his effort just right, sailing over the head of Callender and into the empty Inter Miami net.
