After a week away from action, Celtic FC Women are gearing up for a return to league duties on Sunday as they take on Glasgow City.

Making the short trip to Petershill Park, the Celts will play out their second post-split match as the Hoops enter the business end of the campaign.

Following on from their impressive 2-1 Glasgow derby victory over Rangers on St Patrick’s Day, the Celts have been hard at work at Barrowfield as they get set for the final nine league fixtures of the campaign.

It is still all to play for as we enter the closing stages of the season, and with a huge match against Hearts at Celtic Park on Sunday, April 21 also on the horizon, it couldn’t be a more exciting time to cheer on the Ghirls.

Before that Paradise game, though, the focus for Elena Sadiku and her squad will be on winning another crucial three points as they take on rivals Glasgow City this weekend.

With just goal difference separating the two sides, it is gearing up to be a hugely important match up as the Hoops eye yet more history come the end of the season.
