Wataru Endo can't wait to experience the 'crazy' Anfield atmosphere as Liverpool take on Manchester City in a title six-pointer on Sunday afternoon.

In what will be Jurgen Klopp's final Premier League outing against eternal rival Pep Guardiola, the Reds will feel a result is needed as they look to regain top spot from Arsenal.

Endo, who came on a substitute in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad earlier in the season, is eager to contribute in what looks set to be a hugely crucial contest in the context of the title race.

"I think it's going to be a crazy, crazy atmosphere," Endo told the club's official website. "I'm going to enjoy this game and we want to win this game.

"I'm very excited to play this game, so I will just try to get ready and try to do what I did before. I will try to do my best.

"Offensively they play very well and they have a lot of good attackers, so I have to try to stop them in the middle – I think that's my job. I will get ready for that."

Liverpool come into the game off the back of fine winning form. Following up from their last-gasp Carabao Cup win two weeks ago, the Reds left it late once again last weekend as Darwin Nunez headed in a 99th minute winner at Nottingham Forest.

And after a phenomenal performance against Sparta Prague in midweek, which also marked the return of Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah from injury, Endo feels the Reds are in fantastic shape for such an important matchup.

"The way we are playing at the moment is great," Endo added. "We have injured players but we keep winning. We just focus on the next game and we play all together.

"I'm very happy to see them [Salah and Szoboszlai] back on the pitch. Like our fans, we were waiting for them to come back.

"So, we are in a good way [and] we just try to get ready for the next game."
