Angel City kept pushing and got their reward in the 88’, when Mary Alice Vignola scored the winning goal after Scarlett Camberos recovered the ball from the San Diego defense. With this win, Angel City got their first victory since May.

On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Current hosted the Washington Spirit, with the visitors taking a 3-2 win in comeback fashion. Michelle Cooper wrote her name into the NWSL history books, as she scored the fastest goal ever in the league, in the 1’, putting Kansas City ahead. In the 23’ Debinha added the second goal via a penalty kick called by the referee after consulting with VAR.

Ashley Sanchez started Washington's comeback when she pulled a goal back in the 36’. Paige Metayer evened things out in the 82’ with a header after a corner kick. Just minutes later, in the 87’, Tara McKeown gave her team the win, finding the back of the net after a great assist by Dorian Bailey.

Racing Louisville FC still has one thing in mind: qualifying for their first ever play-offs. They showed how hard they're working on that on Sunday evening, defeating NJ/NY Gothman 2-0. Savannah DeMelo recovered from a clash with a Gotham player and scored the first one in  the 23’.

In the 46’, Thembi Kgatlana added the insurance goal for her team after a collective play that allowed her to pass through the Gotham defense, firing in for the win. With this result, Louisville now has five wins in all domestic competitions, sitting in eight place and in playoff position.
