According to Fabrizio Romano, Warren Zaïre-Emery (17)  has verbally agreed to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

This will represent PSG’s first concrete steps into securing its future since the news broke yesterday that Kylian Mbappé had confirmed with the club president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, his intentions to leave at the end of his contract.

Of course, transfer rumours immediately were sparked by the reports, with PSG said to have a €200 million transfer budget coming into the summer transfer window. However, the club has instead focused its attention on securing the intense talent already on offer at the club before coveting the many names that have begun to be linked with them.

Zaïre-Emery has taken impressive steps this season and represents one of the most exciting talents in European football. His intelligence, his grit, and his positional sense all blend together to make a truly frightening prospect, made more so by the fact that he has yet to turn eighteen.

All that remains now, is Zaïre-Emery and his agent Jorge Mendes reviewing the final document before signing and providing a moment’s calm before what could be a chaotic summer.
