Is this the best a football has ever been struck? Quite possibly.

After coming off the bench at Anfield, Victor Wanyama was the unlikely man to score a Tottenham equaliser.

Madness ensued in the final ten minutes, with Spurs awarded two controversial penalties – one missed, one scored – either side of Mohamed Salah thinking he had stolen all three points for Liverpool.

Let’s not let that distract, though, from one of the goals of the season so far.

Wow.

And then there’s Mohamed Salah’s goal. A thing of true beauty.

It was the Egyptian’s second of the game and 21st in the Premier League this season. It was also, probably, the closest Premier League fans will ever get to seeing Lionel Messi grace their league.

There’s no higher praise than that.
