Thomas Frank claims he is ‘happy’ at Brentford amidst links to Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replacement

Speaking to Bold.dk (h/t The Sun), Thomas Frank has insisted that he is happy at Brentford but does not know what the future holds amidst links to becoming the replacement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

The Red Devils appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm of things in December 2018, and the Norwegian will complete his three years on the job at the end of this year.

However, after a ton of progress and massive investments, the Old Trafford outfit are yet to lift a trophy while they have also only reached a single final during the 48-year-old’s tenure at the club. Moreover, recent performances have led some fans to consider the possibility of Ole getting the sack.

To that end, Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been linked with the Manchester United job after his stellar achievement of bringing the Bees back to the top flight after a 74-year wait. Frank has addressed these links now, as he told Bold.dk (h/t The Sun):

“So, I understand that well, but… Arsenal and United. Wasn’t that how it was? I think I read that at some point. It’s very nice, but one thing is rumours, and the other is if they really wanted to contact me. Then we have to take it from there.“I have a contract until 2023. I’m insanely happy at Brentford. It’s the club who must come to me, but now we must see what the future brings. I know we have a mutual respect and a good relationship with each other on that.”

A fantastic start to the new season has seen the West London club secure a 7th place position on the table, just two points off the Red Devils.

Solskajer would now have to produce the results if he hopes to stay at the club and fend off the sack calls as he looks to complete the rebuild job at Old Trafford.
