Walter Bou was deemed surplus to requirements at Boca Juniors due to the other options at manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s disposal.
Bou joined Boca from Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) in 2016 where he 7 goals in a break-out campaign that Superliga Argentina season.
With Carlos Tevez and Ramón Ábila established, Darío Benedetto returning to fitness, and Mauro Zárate incoming to the team, Bou was facing the prospect of no playing time.
Bou moves to Vitória on a one-year loan with a purchase option for the Brazilian club. The 24-year old Argentine forward joins former Boca team-mate César Meli in the Série A.
