Wales drew 0-0 with New Zealand in Spain, as part of preparations for September’s FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Gemma Grainger brought in Carrie Jones for the absent Jess Fishlock, as Rachel Rowe and then Ceri Holland threatened an early goal for Wales.

Natasha Harding came closest to opening the scoring in the first half, through one-on-one with the keeper, her chance was deflected away from goal.

Grainger made six changes in the second half, with the Lily Woodham, Megan Wynne and Ffion Morgan impressing.

Wales were unable to connect with a number of good crosses in the latter stages, while Laura O’Sullivan pulled off a fine save to keep out Jacqui Hand’s header.
