Dusan Vlahovic assures Juventus ‘achieved both targets’ this season by winning the Coppa Italia, but ‘next term we must aim to win everything.’

The Serbian striker opened the scoring against Atalanta after just four minutes and it proved enough to lift the trophy at the Stadio Olimpico, as Fabio Miretti and Ademola Lookman hit the woodwork.

Vlahovic was named Man of the Match, also because he had another goal narrowly disallowed for offside, and it is his first silverware with Juve.

“I can only thank my teammates, because we know everything that we did this year, all the difficulties we had, and we achieved both targets that we set this season. It’s a pity about the Scudetto, but Inter deserved it,” Vlahovic told Sport Mediaset.

“We had a Final tonight against a great team, I congratulate them too, but I am already thinking about winning many more trophies.”

Vlahovic looks to Juventus future

They had almost been the underdogs going into this clash, because the Bianconeri were coming off five consecutive Serie A stalemates.

“I think we struggled to get out of that moment, but I can guarantee we did not change anything. It was the best we could do at that moment, but we still achieved our targets of the Coppa Italia and Champions League qualification.

“It is not enough, because next season we must aim to win everything, as we are Juventus, this is our DNA and what the fans expect of us.”

This is the 15th edition of the Coppa Italia won by Juventus, by far the most successful club in the history of the competition, but they had not won since beating Atalanta 2-1 in 2021.

The Bianconeri have also qualified for the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four along with Inter, Milan and Atalanta.
