Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema has admitted she is yet to make a decision on her future at the club and will go on holiday before sitting down to make her final choice.

Having joined the Gunners in 2017 and becoming the WSL’s all-time top scorer over the last five years, Miedema is out of contract this summer and has been heavily linked with Barcelona.

The player has previously been very open about her determination to win trophies, suggesting she will only commit her future to Arsenal if she feels the club can match her ambition.

That was a stance she reiterated immediately after the final game of the season, with Arsenal beating West Ham but narrowly missing out on the WSL title to Chelsea.

“Not really anything to be honest,” she told BBC Sport when asked about her situation.

“I was focused on today. I will have a couple of weeks holiday and will make a decision then

“I'm speaking with the club and Jonas Eidevall. I really want to win titles. This year I haven't won anything. If I feel like the club is moving in that direction then maybe I stay another year or two years. Right now, I have not made my decision.”

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall said, "She's on a level that no one else is on in the league. Our ambition is the same, we want to keep her and will do everything we can to keep her."

Arsenal have already agreed new contracts recently with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Steph Catley, while Leah Williamson also signed a new deal back in January.
