Vitality #WomensFACup: Sell-out crowd for Bridgwater v Man Utd | OneFootball

Bridgwater United will have a sell-out crowd of 2,500 for their Vitality Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round tie at home to Manchester United.

As well as a capacity crowd at Fairfax Park, Bridgwater United will be cheered on by new loan signing from Arsenal U-21 Academy, Daisy Ackermann, who is cup tied having played for Oxford United earlier in the Cup.

Two ties are taking place on Saturday lunchtime, including holders Chelsea away at Aston Villa, where they 1-0 in the WSL in November. Nottingham Forest have a huge home tie against Manchester City and have just made two dual-registration signings of 18-year-olds from Sheffield United, in defender Charley Docherty and attacking midfielder Tamara Wilcock.

The Blades have a home tie themselves on Sunday, taking on West Ham at the changed venue of Bramall Lane.

Brighton meet Reading and Spurs play Leicester in all-WSL clashes, Championship teams London City and Sunderland have testing games as they visit Arsenal and Birmingham respectively.

At least two FA WNL sides will be in the Fifth Round draw, with Newcastle United hosting Ipswich Town and West Brom welcoming Exeter City. The Magpies and Grecians are two of four fourth-tier teams still left in the competition, with Lincoln City away to Liverpool and Billericay having home advantage over Coventry United.

There are big stages for underdogs as Southampton FC take on Bristol City at St Mary’s and Plymouth play Charlton at Home Park.

An all-FAWC tie sees Durham entertain Blackburn, whom they came from behind to beat 3-1 just last month.

Prize Money

The FA Board has agreed a significant increase in prize money to support the competition’s continued development. More details are to be announced in due course and the additional prize money will come into effect from the 2022/23 season.

Meanwhile, there’s one Championship fixture on Sunday, when Crystal Palace host Lewes, with a 2pm kick off at Bromley FC.
