Current trophy holders Chelsea will face Manchester City at Wembley Stadium in the competition’s showpiece on Sunday 15 May 2022.
It was confirmed on Monday that ticket sales had reached 20,000 and a further update provided earlier today has now indicated that more than 30,000 fans will attend the event. The record attendance for a Vitality Women’s FA Cup final was recorded back in 2018 when 45,423 fans attended Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Wembley. The two finals which have followed with fans present have attracted crowds of more than 40,000. With more than a fortnight of ticket sales to go, there is every chance that this year’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup final will be played out in-front of a record attendance at the national stadium.
Chelsea find themselves in another Vitality Women’s FA Cup final after holding their nerve to defeat last season’s runners-up Arsenal 2-0 in their semi-final at the LV Bet Stadium. Meanwhile, Manchester City were 4-1 winners over West Ham United at The Chigwell Construction Stadium in their semi-final.
The 2021/2022 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final kicks-off at 2.30pm on Sunday 15 May 2022 and fans are able to purchase tickets by clicking here.
