Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea and Manchester United made it through to the Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-finals.

Aston Villa took the lead against Manchester City with a Rachel Corsie header from a corner, after Ellie Roebuck saved a Rachel Daly strike.

Deyna Castellanos levelled before halftime with a looping header, the tie eventually heading into extra time.

Six minutes into the added thirty, Daly restored Villa’s advantage with a back-post tap in.

Lewes had a couple of early chances against  Manchester United, before Ona Batlle’s ball was deflected past her own keeper by Rhian Cleverly for a sixth-minute opener.

Batlle also set up the second goal an hour later, her cross firmly headed home by Vilde Boe Risa.

The Rooks halved the deficit as Mary Earps’ attempted clearance was hit back over her by Emily Kraft from 20 yards.

Nikita Parris sealed United’s semi-final spot when slotting home in the penultimate minute.

Chelsea struck twice in quick succession midway through the first half, with a Jess Carter effort and Maren Mjelde penalty setting up their victory at Reading.

The hosts had the ball in the net from Sanne Troelsgaard but disallowed for offside.

Guro Reiten tapped in the third early in the second half, Alsu Abdullina squaring the ball  following Johanna Rytting Kaneryd pass.

Troelsgaard turned Millie Bright and shot home to give the Royals some hope with 20 minutes left on the clock.

Brighton went through at Birmingham City, Poppy Pattinson put them ahead direct from a corner, Danielle Carter doubled the lead from the penalty spot.

The semi-final draw will be made from 9.15am, Tuesday 21 March on BBC Morning Live.
