After Real Madrid’s 3-2 win against Barcelona, Vinicius Jr took to social media to share his thoughts on Fermin Lopez’s celebration following his goal, which temporarily put Barcelona ahead 2-1.

Real Madrid fans were particularly displeased with Lopez’s celebration as when he scored against Andriy Lunin to give Barcelona the lead, he glorified like how Jude Bellingham usually does.

This gesture did not sit well with Real Madrid supporters, who took to social media after the game to criticize Lopez for trying to provoke them while they were in the stands.

Interestingly, after Lopez put Barcelona ahead, there were still 20 minutes of the game left and the midfielder’s celebration backfired.

A mere four minutes after his goal, Lucas Vazquez equalized and in injury time, Bellingham won it for his team.

Another controversy relating to Vinicius

After the match, a tweet from a Real Madrid fan account took a playful jab at Fermin, saying “He thought he was Jude Bellingham.”

Vinicius Jr. responded to a tweet related to Fermin Lopez.

This prompted a response from the Brazilian forward, who replied with a laughing emoji.

This did not sit well in Catalonia, where Vinicius is already a polarizing figure. If Lopez needed any more motivation to score in El Clasico, this incident certainly gave him a reason.

Meanwhile, many Barcelona fans and media personalities criticized Vinicius for lacking sportsmanship.

Apart from this, the match also saw other moments of controversy involving Vinicius. In the second half, he had a confrontation with Jules Kounde, which required Federico Valverde to step in and diffuse the situation.

Both players received yellow cards for the altercation. Later in the game, with the score tied at 2-2, Vinicius was substituted by coach Carlo Ancelotti with just under ten minutes left.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the decision, but Ancelotti explained in a press conference that Vinicius wanted to stay on the field, but it was time to bring in fresh legs.
