Vinícius was in action for the club’s Castilla feeder team when they took on Celta Vigo II in the Segunda Division B on Sunday.

And with his side trailing 1-0 and the clock ticking towards full-time, the 18-year-old added to his growing collection of brilliant goals when he curled home a superb free-kick to level the scores.

The Brazilian’s joy was short-lived, however. Just minutes later, he was shown a second yellow card for diving and sent for an early bath.

The game finished 1-1 and extended the Castilla’s unbeaten start to the season.

In fact, coach Santiago Solari is doing such a good job with the youngsters that there has even been talk he could replace Julen Lopetegui and take charge of the first-team soon.
